Roger Sharpe

Maybe best known to many for being the father of Josh and Zach, Roger Sharpe has had a profound influence on the world of pinball for the past five decades. As an author, designer and noted historian, Sharpe spent 26 years at Williams Bally/Midway and WMS Gaming, primarily as the director of marketing as well as brand licensing. In the latter role, he was responsible for every licensed pinball machine and video game beginning in 1988 and running into the 2000’s. Co-founder of the Professional and Amateur Pinball Association (PAPA), Roger is co-director of the International Flipper Pinball Association (IFPA). The subject of many news features and documentary video projects, Mr. Sharpe’s historic role in helping legalize pinball in New York City by proving it is a game of skill was featured on Comedy Central’s Drunk History as well as on CBS Sunday Morning hosted by Jane Pauley.
